Rebecca Heron – Children and Adolescent counsellor
Throughout the past 11 years, I have been working with children in a variety of roles.
During this time my devotion to supporting and nurturing their emotional well-being has continuously grown.
This has also intensified for me over the past 2 years because I have had my own two little girls, who remind me daily of the care, guidance and continuous encouragement that children need to develop into balanced young people.
In 2013 I completed a BA (Hons) Childhood studies degree and have since gone on to qualify at level 4 with a certificate in counselling children and adolescents.
In addition to this I have completed a level 2 certificate in understanding children and young people’s mental health and a play therapy certificate.
These qualifications and many of my other experiences have contributed to my belief that children’s holistic well-being is the foundation of their development, If a child is taught tools and skills to understand and manage their emotions and is given space and time to discuss their feelings, they will have the best chance of a balanced and positive journey throughout their childhood.
